This month we will throw another party with our good friends from Deprogramming. We invited no other than one of europe's techno originators Kim Rapatti aka Mono Junk. Way Back in the early 90ies he started making his own interpretation of the techno sound that came from overseas. Alongside other finnish producers like Panasonic and Mika Vainio they created an authentic style of music that is distinctive. The industrial machine funk of the streets of detroit combined with the melancholic coldness of finlands long dark winters. Join us March. 23rd at Sabotage Dresden!

Idealfun pres. Oscillate! Rude 66 - Live
Ruud Lekx, geboren 1966, startete seine musikalische Karriere in den Achtzigern in diversen holländischen Noise und Industrial Bands. 1993 landete er bei Bunker Records in Den Haag, wo er neben I-F und Unit Moebius den dreckigen Lo - Fi Acid Sound prägte, für den das Label bis heute berühmt-berüchtigt ist. Das verzerrte 303 Gezwitscher allein wurde ihm aber schnell zu eintönig und so entwickelte er über die letzten 15 Jahre den unverkennbaren Rude 66 Sound, den man von seinen Alben und EPs auf Crème Organisation kennt. Oldschool Electro, italienische Horror Soundtracks und die Untergrund Club Musik der Achtziger treffen auf Rudes dunkle Acid und Industrial Vergangenheit. Nach der Devise nur dann Musik zu machen, wenn es auch was zu sagen gibt, steckt hinter jeder Rude 66 Produktion eine Idee, die seine Tracks zu mehr macht als nur Dj - Mixe zu füllen. Er legt wert darauf, dass seine Musik zu Hause genauso, wie im Club genossen werden kann. Live tritt er mit seiner Frau Shaunna auf, die auch die Vocals zu den meisten Stücken schreibt und singt. Nach eigener Aussage klingt ihre Live Show in etwa so: …like you're on the red carpet pathway to hell. Dancing!!! Man darf also gespannt sein wenn der Meister des dunklen Electro Waves sein Dresden Debüt im Wettbüro gibt.

Auf geht’s in Runde zwei. Unsern Gast diesmal braucht man eigentlich nicht mehr vorstellen, DMX Krew aus London hat sich bereits mehrfach in unser Langzeitgedächtnis gespielt. Ob als Dj oder Liveact , Edward Upton macht den Sound of the Street. Besser kann man es wohl nicht sagen und so lautete auch der Titel seines Debüt Albums, welches 1996 auf dem legendären Londoner Rephlex Label erschien. Dies ist nun eine halbe Ewigkeit her, seitdem hat EDMX unzählige Platten veröffentlicht und die Clubs rund um den Globus gerockt. Ob New York, Rio oder Tokio, seine Live Auftritte suchen ihres gleichen, mit Drum Machine, Synthesizer und Mikrofon spielt sich die DMX Einmannband quer durch Raum und Zeit, von 80er Synthpop über 90er UK-Rave zurück zu Chicago Acidhouse und Detroit Electrotechno. Also Ticket lösen, einsteigen, nicht anschnallen und los geht’s! Mit dabei: Bronko T. und Credit 00 für besten Service an Bord.

Idealfun ist zurück mit einer neuen Partyreihe. Neuer Name, selbes Konzept: The best in robotic dance music. Zum Auftakt bekommen wir es auch gleich mit einem alten Bekannten zu tun, Luke Eargoggle aus Schwedens Elektrohauptstadt Göteborg besuchte uns bereits 2008, als es noch hieß Robodance @ Galerie Disko und ist uns in guter Erinnerung geblieben. Seit damals wurde es eher ruhig um Electro aus Göteborg, doch wie passend zum Debüt von Oscillate! ist Eargoggle mit drei neuen Releases auf seinem Label Stilleben Records zurück auf Tour um Deutschland zu elektrifizieren. Nach Berlin und Leipzig wird er in Dresden zu Gast sein und er kommt nicht allein, mit Labelkollege Kan3da und Bonjour Tristesse bringt er zwei Acts mit, die wir zum ersten Mal in Deutschland erleben dürfen. Macht euch gefasst: Real Electro aus Skandinavien, von starken Basslines zu romantischem Synthpop, ist alles dabei.

Every day more and more crappy music comes out of us. Where to dump all this waste ? For example on this web page called soundcloud, because it looks quite ugly (compared to our super cool page), we post some of the stuff here. Yes ! Idealfun xclusive mixes (short I.X.M.) will be a series of DJ - mixes you will find on this page from now on, every now and then. Since they are Idealfun exclusive, you wont find them anywhere else . Vogelmensch made a new track called Allegorie. It was made using a Philips PMC-100 (picture on the left) a great little machine from the 80ies, its a sequencer/drum-machine + fm synthesizer in one box and the best thing is, you can record your tracks directly to tape and play them in your car.

Idealfun ? WTF is this anyway ?
Well, don't ask us. All we can say is: We are back ! Yes, we have been lazy with updating this web page for quite a while but that wasn`t really our fault. Our Admin was in jail for fare dodging and they don`t have internet over there. Anyway, as you can see we changed the layout ( we already won several design awards) and uploaded more useless crap. There is a new section called ARCHIVE there you can find pictures, videos etc. of even more useless crap. Our so called artists are now to be found in the STAFF section, there you will get secret information about every artist, everything you ever wanted to know!
There are still lots of things to come (things you won`t find anywhere else on the w.w.w.) so check back once in a while. Cheers!

After a decade of bitter tears and hopeless trying our Finnish funkster Randy Barracuda has finally reached his ultimate goal as an artist. He has managed to combine successfully the music of his two favourite composers: Klaus Schulze and Lil Jon. >Impossible<, You may say.
Well, dont believe the hype.
Take a listen to Streisand Effects booming crunk beats, heavy basses, epic synthesizer leads and cristallic arpeggios and choose for yourself.
Backside of the record is dominated by more moody and naturalistic atmospheres.
Tako To Ama (The Dream of the Fishermans Wife) is Randys homage to the grandiose tradition of Japanese tentacle erotica. In its Asiatic moods and sharp synthesizer stabs You can almost feel the slippery tentacles of an octopus wandering around in your bodily cavities!
Record comes to an end with Lebensraum, an eight minute long meditative disco reggae.
On Lebensraum the listener finds a totally new aspect of Randy Barracudas aural art: gone are the rapid staccato melodies and usual stiff funkiness.
Maybe Credit00, a mysterious East-German bongo player, gave the track its naturalistic charm and the comfy aura of a forest in the springtime.
